A pioneer of professional surfing and a longtime Huntington Beach local, our 2026 Local Legend has shaped the sport from the inside out. From claiming surfing’s first world title to mentoring future champions and preserving surf culture through decades of community leadership, his legacy runs deep.
This year, we celebrate a figure whose impact bridges generations, whose passion continues to fuel the soul of Surf City, and whose story will be honored in a way like never before.
