The Surf City USA Marathon is supported by over 2,000 volunteers and 100 area coordinators each year. Without the outstanding support of dedicated community minded groups and individuals like you - the event simply wouldn't happen.

Our fabulous volunteer organizations provide service at the expo, registration, the water stations, the start line, the finish line, they hand out medals, they keep the venue clean, and they do it because they love to support their beautiful community. Volunteers -

Individuals wishing to volunteer for the next event can apply online below. If you are a group or organization leader and want to get your whole group involved, please contact us directly.

Area Coordinators

We are looking for individuals with leadership skills to manage various areas of the event. If you love to work with and manage people and meet the following criteria we look forward to having you join our Surf City Marathon Event Team.
 

Requirements

  • Coordinators are trained in a specific area of the event and required to manage groups of individuals in that area.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Coordinators must be available to meet 3 times prior to event day for a maximum of 6 hours of training.
  • Coordinators are required to be available race weekend.

Group Volunteers

Gather your friends, family, charity organizations or corporate colleagues and enjoy the fun and festivities while exercising your volunteer spirit. To register your group to volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Manager at mailto:volunteer@runsurfcity.com with Volunteer Group as the Subject Line.
