The Partnership
The Surf City USA® Marathon is owned and operated by Pacific
Shoreline Marathon, LLC. Our unconventional approach to event
development and promotion is intended to support the active lifestyle
vision that initiates unique quality experiences for participants,
partners, and spectators for years to come. We are committed to the

Public Relations
Public relations for the Surf City USA Marathon and related events is handled by MKM. MKM
is a leading youth culture and active lifestyle marketing agency.
Located in Southern California, MKM specializes in non-traditional
public relations, experiential marketing and event production. Their

world-class sporting events, Olympic-caliber athletes, disparate

Race Management 
We are pleased to have Kinane Events manage race and event
operations. Kinane Events is a full service agency which currently
manages many of Southern California's largest running/walking events.
Since 1992, Kinane Events has managed the Orange County RACE FOR THE
CURE® which attracts over 20,000 participants annually. The Kinane
Events staff has over 50 years of combined experience in managing high
quality participant events.

What Inspires Us
We get many emails and letters from participants. The most inspiring
are from those who have an experience at our event that has a lasting
impact on their lives far beyond race day. We are amazed by the variety
of things that inspire people to run, walk, or do whatever they love to
stay active and fit. From the great achievements of elite runners to
the people who have to work to get a few hours of walking in their
